Looking forward to opening up for Bleech at their album launch tomorrow. It’s a 14+ show, with DJing from Mat Horne. Click on the image below to join the event…

On Saturday, it’s our last ever Rock ‘n Roll Basement at the Sebright Arms - we’ve had a blast curating it for the last 4 months, so come and say farewell and join us in having a big send-off party! Onstage at around 9.30pm, click on the flyer for all the details…
We posted this track by Tommy and Lucy on our Soundcloud a few months ago and then sort of forgot about it, but thought we might as well share it now as a little something to listen to before our new EP is released.
It’s a little bit different to our usual stuff in that - shock horror! - there’s no guitar: just keyboard, organ and vocals.
It’s not on the EP but you never know - we might record it properly one day… Anyway, have a listen and feel free to download if you like x
Just having a cup of tea in Paper Dress while we wait for our soundcheck. And yes, we’re on the menu… (Taken with instagram)
Next week we are a little booked up to say the least, which means you have no excuse but to come to one (or all - hurrah!) of these delicious gigs…
THURSDAY 31ST MAY
Kicking things off next Thursday, we’re playing at The Macbeth for the single launch of our friends Molly’s Lipps, who are releasing their track Scars along with a screening of their long awaited tour movie, the brilliantly titled Molly’s Lipps: Sexually Frustrated & Hungry For Chicken.
Click on the flyer below (in their words, “photoshop is for pussies”) for the official event…
FRIDAY 1ST JUNE
On Friday, we’re continuing the party at boutique-cum-rock ‘n’ roll-venue Paper Dress Vintage on Curtain Road (just around the corner from the Old Blue Last) where we’ll be playing in the shop window like mannequins come to life. The shop has a bar and everything, so come along for a boogie and a drink!

SATURDAY 2ND JUNE
Aaaand last but not least, on Saturday we’re in North London territory at the Buffalo Bar (aka The Horrors’ favourite venue) to play London’s finest glam rock night, Glam Racket. We’re long running fans of this night and have pulled many a seventies-styled move on its dancefloor, so this one comes with the Drag Your Heels stamp of approval. Plus, for anyone sick of the Jubilee by then (it’s that weekend so you will be), rest assured the only Queen that Glam Racket say they care about “is the one that involves Freddie Mercury prancing about in a catsuit!”
Flyer makes even more sense now, huh? Click for the facebook event…
We don’t like to talk about it much, but here at Drag Your Heels, we have zero many a celebrity (ahem) fan. Why, just a few months ago Angelos off Shooting Stars approached Lucy after a gig and said that he rather enjoyed our set (sadly he was out of character and not even holding a carrier bag. What a let-down) and then there was the time when Mick Whitnall from Babyshambles said Some Other Dream sounded “fucking amazing” (let’s skim over the fact that he may or may not have been standing beside certain used drug paraphernalia at the time of said comment. Hmm…)

Yep, we’re a pretty big deal, so it follows naturally, that our latest celebrity endorsement comes from two rather well-known members of a band going by the name of Kaiser Chiefs. Step forward *drum roll*… Simon and Peanuts! (What do you mean you thought we were going to say Ricky Wilson and the drummer?)
Yeah, so uh here are their glowing reviews of our first single ‘Walk Away’.
Oh hang on, turns out they think it’s a bit shit. How awkward…
